Coconut Biscuits

Coconut biscuits are the perfect teatime snack. It’s made with desiccated coconut, the dried form of fresh coconut. Coconut is used in many sweet and savory recipes, and many desserts are coated with desiccated coconut to enhance flavor. Coconut is rich in healthy fats, iron, protein, minerals, vitamins, and fiber. Today we will make delicious coconut biscuits.

Here is the list of ingredients that we need to make coconut biscuits:

  1. Desiccated Coconut – 1⁄2 cup
  2. Powdered sugar – 1⁄2 cup
  3. Desi ghee or Butter – 1/2 cup
  4. Flour (All-purpose flour(Maida) or Wheat flour (Atta)) – 1 cup

Method to make coconut biscuits::

  1. Take 1⁄2 cup desi ghee or butter into a bowl along with powdered sugar and beat with a hand whisker or electric beater until it is creamy or fluffy.
  2. Add 1 cup flour (All-purpose flour or Wheat flour) and 1⁄2 cup desiccated coconut and mix. 
  3. Add 2-3 spoons (or as required) of milk gradually until you have a dough as shown in the picture.
  4. Take a small portion and give a desired shape.
  5. Take a desiccated coconut and coat one side of a biscuit on a plate. Arrange all the biscuits on a greased tray.
  6. Preheat oven to 150 degrees for 10 minutes.
  7. After 10 minutes, keep the tray in the oven and bake for 15 minutes or until it’s a nice golden-brown color.
  8. Shift the biscuit onto the plate and wait for it to cool completely. Store it in an airtight container for 2 months.
  9. Your homemade delicious coconut biscuits are ready, enjoy with tea, coffee, or milk.
